Usually keep
Keep a working supply of wood, stone, ore, seasonal items needed for museum sets, and ingredients tied to an active quest or recipe. Rare items with an unclear future use are safer in a labeled chest until their purpose is verified.
Reserve four ingots per tool tier
Every tool upgrade costs four ingots of the matching metal, and there are seven tool types. Before you ship copper, iron, silver, gold or Mistril in bulk, check which upgrade you actually want next.
| Tier | Ingots | Blacksmithing level |
|---|---|---|
| Copper | 4 | 4 |
| Iron | 4 | 10 |
| Silver | 4 | 16 |
| Gold | 4 | 26 |
| Mistril | 4 | 28 |
Usually safe to sell
Sell true duplicates after checking museum and quest needs, especially when the money immediately unlocks a useful tool, building, seed purchase, or production upgrade. Processing can improve value, but time and skill requirements matter too.
Use a three-chest system
One chest for building and crafting, one for seasonal collection items, and one for gifts or cooking makes later decisions much easier. A separate sell chest lets you reconsider before shipping anything uncommon.
