Days 1–2: learn the paths
Clear only enough farm space to work comfortably, meet nearby villagers, collect basic forageables, and follow the introductory requests. Start a chest before your inventory becomes the limiting factor.
Days 3–4: open your options
Caldarus grants Essence collection on Spring 3, so from here every skill activity is also perk progress. Check the beach shop for the beginner fishing rod, look for new museum donations, and use the map to learn the town’s major routes. Keep wood and stone instead of selling the materials needed for early upgrades.
Days 5–7: choose a next goal
Decide whether your next focus is income, mining, relationships, animals, or museum progress. You are choosing a short-term project, not a permanent class.
- Museum route: keep one of every new collectible.
- Income route: plant manageable crop quantities and compare processing options.
- Mining route: bring food and leave inventory space for ore and artifacts.
- Social route: use birthdays and known liked gifts, but daily conversation is still useful.
Before the season ends
Spring runs 28 days and has two festival dates, so leave yourself room. The Spring Festival lands on Spring 17 and the Cooking Contest on Spring 24; both are easier if you are not mid-project on the day.
