Your first priorities
Meet the villagers who provide your starting tools, explore the paths around town, and follow the early story prompts. Buy the beginner fishing rod from the beach shop when it becomes available, then sample farming, fishing, foraging, mining, and requests instead of committing to one activity immediately.
- Keep a small stack of food for energy rather than pushing every day to exhaustion.
- Use chests early. A tidy working inventory matters more than a perfectly decorated farm.
- Check the map when a quest asks you to find a villager.
Donate first, decide later
When you find a new fish, insect, artifact, crop, or forageable, check whether the museum needs it before selling it. The museum holds 409 items across four wings, it is completable in version 1.0, and Errol pays out Tesserae, Renown and set rewards as you fill it in.
Essence and skill perks
On Year 1, Spring 3, Caldarus grants you the ability to sense and collect Essence. From then on, ordinary skill activity drops Essence, which you spend on perks at Caldarus’ Statue on the farm or the Dragon Statue in the mines. There is no class choice, and perks can be toggled on and off later, so early picks are conveniences rather than commitments.
A comfortable daily rhythm
Choose one main task for the day, then add one small social or collection task. For example: mine until your inventory fills, donate one new item, speak to villagers on the way home, and stop before the schedule becomes stressful.
