Eight species, two buildings
You need a barn or a coop with a free space before Hayden’s Shop will let you adopt. You can build more than one of each.
| Building | Species | Days to mature |
|---|---|---|
| Coop | Chickens, Ducks, Rabbits, Capybaras | 3 |
| Barn | Cows, Horses, Sheep, Alpacas | 5 |
The breeding requirements
An animal must be mature and at two hearts or more before it can breed, and breeding uses Heart Shaped Treats bought from Hayden’s Shop. Every baby arrives four days after the day its parents were bred, whether hatched or born.
| Requirement | Value |
|---|---|
| Maturity | 3 days (coop) or 5 days (barn) |
| Hearts | At least 2 |
| Item | Heart Shaped Treat, from Hayden’s Shop |
| Time to arrival | 4 days from breeding |
Six colour tiers
Each species has multiple colour variants sorted into six rarity tiers. Tier 1 is the common colour you will be given by default — brown for chickens, for example. Tier 6 is the rare seasonal set: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter variants. Colour rarity directly raises resale value, which is what makes a breeding programme worth running at all.
Hearts decide product quality
Animal happiness runs to ten hearts, raised by petting and hand-feeding daily and by letting animals outside in clear weather. From eight hearts, products have a chance to be Golden; at ten hearts, golden products are guaranteed. This is the single biggest multiplier on ranching income.
What we have not published
The exact probability of each colour appearing from a given pairing is not published in a form we can verify, so this page does not include a combination chart with invented odds.
