Check the forecast before you plan the day

The Weather Crystal Ball shows upcoming weather when you interact with it. This single habit is what turns weather from an interruption into a schedule: you water the day before rain rather than the morning of, and you keep a fishing rod ready for the days that matter.

02

What each season can throw at you

Two weather types are seasonal one-offs and both are legendary-fish weather, so they are worth recognising on sight.

What weather actually changes

The effects are consistent enough to plan around, and they pull in opposite directions — the weather that saves you farming time is the weather that keeps your animals indoors.

SystemEffect
CropsRain, storms, snow and blizzards water everything for you. Sunny days you water by hand
AnimalsSunny days are the days to let livestock out; in rain and storms they belong inside
FishingWeather decides which species spawn — this is the main reason a spot “has nothing”
BugsSeason, weather and time all gate spawns above ground
MinesUnderground spawns are not weather-restricted, so bad weather is good mining weather
04

The four weather windows that matter most

Each legendary fish needs one specific weather event in one specific season, which means only a handful of valid days per year. A breezy cherry-blossom day in spring, a summer storm, a windy leaf-fall day in fall, and a winter blizzard are the four days to drop everything for.

05

Bad weather is not a lost day

Rain waters the farm, keeps the animals in, and does nothing to the mines. A storm is the cheapest signal you will get that today is a mining day — or, if it is the right season, a legendary-fish day.
